WBF

Potato and I have been going to Winter Beer Fest since before we moved to MI.  We've had trouble in the past deciding who to bring and who to leave behind.  It's a hard game to play.  You want somebody  that will pace themselves, that you don't mind hanging out with for over 12hrs, and that has a good presence.  Being with overly dramatic or psychopathic people with a death wish is no fun.  Needless to say, going with a good crew is what can make or break a beer fest.
Winter Beer Fest is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays.  The festival itself has grown exponentially over the years.  They are always adding new breweries and thousands of more tickets to sell.
Every year, we do the same thing:
Buy Subway sammies for the festival.  They're a life saver.
Layer up - it's February
Get to the festival early so you don't have to wait in line that goes back farther than what you thought was actually possible
Sample as many beers as possible and always report to Moose as he is keeping score
Chat with strangers - they are delightful
Join in on the shooting off your guns and the "OOHHHHHHH"-ing - also delightful
Find other people with Chicago sports gear on - there is safety in numbers
Regroup and head back to the hotel
Take a nap or a swim
Head to the streets for dinner (this year we went to a little bar off the main strip and it was awesome. The staff was very friendly and a couple of them even came over, sat down, and chatted with us.  Happy 30th Amy!)
Go to Mojo's the piano bar and dance (even though the people there are the worst people in the world)
Get some grub to take home and call it a night

It's like Christmas in Wisconsin.  It's the same every year and I'd like it to stay that way.  You guys are invited back.
